Description
This 5-hour course meets CDC, OSHA and NFPA guidelines as well as current CPR and ECC guidelines. It focuses on immediate life-threatening situations, and demonstrates how to respond quickly and effectively. It presents real-world perspectives on how frequently these situations occur.
Students will Learn:
- Professional rescuers role in emergencies
- How to assess a victims' conditions
- Basic life support, including rescue breathing, cardiac emergencies, CPR airway obstruction
- How to properly and effectively use an automated external defibrillation (AED)
This course is ideal for health care providers, emergency response teams, EMS professionals, firefighters, police, paramedics, lifeguards, athletic trainers, medical assistants and others requiring certification. Certification is valid for 2 years.
