Excavation and Trenching for the Competent Person

Description

This course is designed to assist employers and employees who are involved in trenching activities to meet OSHA regulatory training requirements. This course provides participants knowledge on OSHA trenching regulations, roles and responsibilities of the Competent Person, hazard recognition, hazardous atmospheres and testing, soil analysis and classification. Participants will also gain knowledge on the selection, use, and installation of cave-in protection systems including hydraulic shoring, trench shields, and sloping and benching requirements.
